May God bless you and protect you.

May God’s face shine toward you 
and show you favour.

May God look favorably upon you 
and grant you peace.

From my arms, Father, into yours

Raging winds that roar a promise

No more, my Son;

Mother’s hearts carry

The lament of the forsaken

Sorrow falls in drops onto baked stones

Fading prayers seeking heaven’s hand

Blessed are those who mourn

And find consolation.
